I think the Evo tranny is pretty bad ***. Send it to TRE and spend a few hundred bucks and it'll last forever!

I think the Evo tranny sounds like just as much a POS as the DSM tranny was.

And just like the DSM tranny....a TRE workover is probably worth every dime and solves alot of problems. Mitsu should have the TRE crew design the X's tranny!

Few hundred bucks, meaning how much? I've got an 03 and my gears seem fine so far.

Sure ....you can go to the track every day, but I bet it would get boring after a while.

Let me clear things up, sorry for the typo i was on a hurry. I'm asking not just on internals, but the evo in general, meaning tranny, lsd, engine, axles. But mostly pistons, valve train, rods and all that stuff. I'm most curious because i'm planning on stepping things up a bit and i just wanted to have a general idea of how far could i go in terms of whp Btw what i meant was that my friend is constantly saying that evo's are pos in terms of mechanical problems like broken t-cases and blown engines, i disagree, maybe not so much on the lsd, at least not in 03 evos

Anything can be daily driven because everyone has different standards, Al drives his car daily along with a few other 700WHP Evos.

+1 I think it depends a whole lot on the owner, hell people say the evo clutch and flywheel are one of the worst ever and i still have my stock ones for 26000 mi going strong. Still 450 to 500 is pretty damn good. Thats actually my goal, yeah right. If i had a nickle for every evo owner that said that and actually quit modding
