Need a new set of rotors (cheap), basic

Well, someting is up with my brakes...i ordered a set of Hawk HPS today for my car, but think a noise that is occuring, is more than just pads. Something is actually digging into my driver side rotor (inside, next to heat shield), I cant find anything upon visual inspection, but can feel back in that area, and feel a decently deep groove. The noise is like a metal on metal contact that is random, but can be increased by turning the steering wheels certain ways when it is occuring. I dont think its a squealer either.

So can someone point me in the right direction where I can get a set of new rotors that are basic (even blanks) like the stock rotors for cheap or reasonable price. This is my daily driver, and I need this fixed ASAP.

try here:
http://www.300zx.org/Store/Brakes/brakes.html

I just ordered from them, so I have no comment on the product. I figured for $305 shipped for blanks and $355 for slotted/dimpled, I was gonna give them a shot. That is for all 4.

I agree, I had good experience with the seller and their products are good quality but inexpensive.

I have both slotted front & rear in my Evo.

try StopTech slotted rotors - Either call Vivid Racing or StopTech directly and have them overnight those to you

OR

Get the R1Concepts rotors from Logic Performance. (they're a member here).

I'm on StopTech Rotors. Haven't had a chance to beat on them yet so no comments.

Im not worried about performance side of things. If they have rotors at autozone or somewhere for the evo, i will do that. I just want to get my car normal as this car is my daily driver and see's no track time, except maybe the dragstrip once in a blue moon.

I had same problem with after market pads, Hawks HPS, Feredo (Spell?) and I even tried the brand new rotors made by Rotopros. Nothing solved the problem. Finnally I turned my stock rotors and put stock pads and all problems disappeared.

I have my old rotors for sale (check link in sig). If you're going to get new ones, I'd recommend getting a set from rotorpros (*******************) ... you should be able to get a blank set of rotors (all 4) for $300 or less. I run their slotted/dimpled rotors, and they have been holding up very well with my HPS pads. I've got a review of the setup floating around somewhere on EvoM.

Dude i kow you said you gave them a good visual inspection but it might not be your pads. Get your car on a lift when you go to install your pads and turn the steering wheel . Make sure your caliper doesn't have any free play in it . It could be causing a grove everytime you turn but you would never notice it when your on the straight and level. if your calier has play you got more problems then rotors.
