I recently installed some Defi D gauges in a 42 Draft Designs gauge panel. I really like how the Defi gauges match the stock gauges, but the trim bezels make them stick WAY (like half an inch) out of the dash. The VDO gauges that 42 Draft Designs offers are almost flush with the gauge panel, which looks a lot cleaner.

Does anyone know if there is an alternate trim ring for the Defi gauges? I searched on EvoM and Google and came up with nothing.

 

You can remove the trim rings on the Defis... I think I have some pictures of that somewhere on my computer. Let me dig...

The Defis are great gauges. It just sucks that the console is contoured in such a way that doesn't allow the big bezel.

Thanks for the idea, that is definitely the cheapest option. I'll try pulling off the trim rings this weekend and see how that looks.
