$15,000 how to spend on the motor...

I have about $15,000 to put into my evo, i got some ideas from a local dsm shop wanted advice from fellow evo owners from the board....im looking for about 600awhp on pump....

heres what i THINK im going to do...

-Stage 2 ported race head w/ all the goodies(Decked, cleaned and hot tanked, valve job, street/strip port work, sss swirl polished 1mm oversized valves, upgraded race valve seals, dual over springs, spring seat locators and titanium retainers, bronze silicone valve guides)... straight 272 HKS cams

-Buschur deluxe fmic

-Stage 3 shortblock (eagle rods/ross pistons, ARP Main studs, B/S removed, New oil pump, front case, new bearings, hot tanked, decked, magnafluxed, balanced)

- Buschur deluxe UICP

- no idea on turbo yet

-was kinda curious about a stroker kit, but the shop talked me outta it, said the motors dont last that long or something. also said i cant rev very high.

LETS GET YOUR INPUT! BUILD MY EVO!

Actually, this is a complicated issue that I personally wouldn't even begin to provide advice on.

What I would say is to talk to Buschur, AMS, and/or TurboTrix to find out if the stroker comment is bs and to make sure you get the most out of your money. I pesonally would start with Buschur and ask about his stroker kit...

You would not go wrong in having Buschur Racing build you a motor.

It's my belief, that David Buschur has forgotten more then most know about DSM horsepower & real reliabilty.

But that's only my thoughts....

Why not have a crazy car now? How about because it's completely unimportant compared to the rest of your life. The car won't last very long, especially with that level of modding, so you will end up with a ton of debt and a car that is constantly breaking.

I won't help anyone like this.

Are your loans paid off? If not, don't... I repeat: DO NOT spend that money on your evo!

Talk to RNR, they have a 2.7L engine coming out soon. 2.4L block with stroker kit. Talk to a big reputable shop before making decisions. I think if I was really gonna spend all that money on an Evo engine, I'd go with at least the 2.3 stroker or 2.4 block for mad torque, then throw on a GT35R or something to get massive horsepower. Then do all your supporting mods and engine work to keep everything together. Good luck dude!
