Evo feels weak all of a sudden

Hey guys. I was driving the Evo last night and it felt very weak and unresponsive. I was getting full boost and holding it (20psi), my check engine light isn't on, and i don't think my clutch is slipping. IT was not a dog, but I feel like I was down about 30 hp. Any ideas?

My car also feels slow even though it's really probably not. It's just that you are used to driving a bad *** car everyday.

I like the bad gas Idea. You just never know, also drive a slow car for about a week then get back in the EVO.

i'm starting to think that this is the nature of the evo. i only have about 1500 miles on mine, and sometimes it feels a little slower than normal and i start to worry, but then other times i'm not even trying to push it and it goes like a bat out of hell. i think that airflow and ambient temperature across the intercooler can really effect how much power you're throwing down. just wait till the next cool morning, warm it up and let 'er rip. i bet it feels fine.

Bingo!

Ambient temperature makes a big difference.

As all of you that have cold winters can attest - force inducted cars love cold weather. Only thing to worry about in the cold is boost creep.

Conversely, hot weather is horrible for force inducted cars.

that's always a good idea. I went WOT the other day and it didn't feel too fast, but I looked in my rear view and the cars that were with me had all but disappeared into the horizon. Sometimes, without something to judge perspective it looks/feels/seems a little slower. But it's always a good idea to check everything out just in case...
