Evo feels weak all of a sudden
Hey guys. I was driving the Evo last night and it felt very weak and unresponsive. I was getting full boost and holding it (20psi), my check engine light isn't on, and i don't think my clutch is slipping. IT was not a dog, but I feel like I was down about 30 hp. Any ideas?

i'm starting to think that this is the nature of the evo. i only have about 1500 miles on mine, and sometimes it feels a little slower than normal and i start to worry, but then other times i'm not even trying to push it and it goes like a bat out of hell. i think that airflow and ambient temperature across the intercooler can really effect how much power you're throwing down. just wait till the next cool morning, warm it up and let 'er rip. i bet it feels fine.

Ambient temperature makes a big difference.
As all of you that have cold winters can attest - force inducted cars love cold weather. Only thing to worry about in the cold is boost creep.
Conversely, hot weather is horrible for force inducted cars.
yeah the evo is very moody it has its good days and bad day i was reading a mag not to long ago and it said that the evo was running low 13's all day stock when she was not acting up i was like
? they said the times change from day to day and that the car is moody maybe it had to do with the weather
