All I know is that when all is said and done, and when this is over, neither the installer now the parts vender will take responsibility, and the guy who paid money is for parts is fuct.

One quick question, are these cams regrinds are staright made?

all GSC camshafts are made from brand new billet cores, like other evo8 camshafts on the market today

it has yet to be proven that the product itself was at fault for the engine mishap - we are here to help - if you had this problem with a HKS camshaft they wouldn't give you the light of day, we are active on this board and hear about all that goes on and take a keen interest when it comes to a supposed issue with one of our parts so we will continue to be able to offer the best product for the money and best possible customer service

Can't argue that point... I don't remember when I last heard a good HKS customer service story. To clear the air... I do run and recommend HKS cams... however, I wouldn't even bother calling those jack knobs if I had a problem. They've long since gotten too big to care about the "little guy" it seems. Now that's not based on my personal dealings as I've had none. I've been "close" to some customer service issues though...

Yeah, even posting this thread without having measurements is crazy. I always like to puchase BR "approved" parts, but just reading this thread is actually pushing me *towards* GSC, since I'm sure that the thread has been cause for loss of at least some sales, and I feel bad for the "little" guys who work hard to offer great customer service.

Get some measurements *now* or delete this thread, before you cause additional harm to a small company. Damn.

GSC and the installer have both stepped in and said they would own up to it, if it was their fault. This is easy to remedy in two steps. Get measurements from an independent party, and then send them to Greg so he can verify the measurements.

I would not expect Greg to refund the money for the cams if there are no problems with them, since he can't sell them as new anymore. If the cams are perfect, the installer pays for the labor/parts to repair the car. If the cams are mfg wrong, then I believe GSC should pay.

Simple, isn't it??? I don't see why this matter is so complex.

James-thanks for been there for you customer and do your best to make good quality parts at an accesible price.

I don't have the cams so i can't meassure them.I only did the installation and when i notice the cams were pushing the valves too much making them stay open then the piston hit them at TDC making them close with force making a loud sound i took them out installed a set of HKS 272 and the problem was gone but there were valve damage already so i took the head out fix it and installed it back with the HKS and voila the car is on the street right now hauling ***. The car was down for only 2 days.

I didn't started this tread . i got pissed and replied when i saw everyone blaming me without even know what happened. I will leave the discussion until the owner of the car gets the meassures and if he doesn't bother to do so what can i do about it .I did my part i fixed his car so i'm in peace of mind and i did n't took an arm or leg from him for the whole work.

And yes we have the same neck problems with my friends car who have a 272/264 GSC installed and it is hard to beat him and i own a car with straight 272 HKS.

I didn't trashed talk the GSC cams i only shared the experience i had after everyone was jumping all over me and even insulted me.

I sent a pm to greg and hopefully he will take the measurments and check the cams to see if they're ok. I posted earlier just to have a general idea about what could have happened and not to trash about gsc cams, sorry if it turned out that way. I'm sure the problem will be solved as soon as they measure the cams.

The car was fixed and no great damaged was caused so the installer did his part. Already edited the post since theres no more need for exposing something that gsc maybe isn't to blame. Mechanical and manufacturing mistakes do happen, the important thing is that people fix the mistakes and keep the customer satisfied. Either way i will not post any more since it doesn't amount to anything. And yes, gsc cams do make your neck snap

it should have only taken 5 or 10 minutes to take some simple measurements

if there are no measurements posted, im going to assume the installer was at fault and the original poster is trying to save face by not responding
