Sell my 05 GSXR600 and mod my 05 EVO 8????

I have been thinking about this and talking about this with my buddies for a long time. Yes I am a speed and performance freak and have been passionate about performance cars and bikes.

I have a mint showroom cond, never down, 05 Suzuki GSXR600 which only has 600 miles on it. Ever since I got the EVO I been driving the EVO more than riding the bike.

now I would like to mod the EVO more and was thinking if I should sell the bike and make my EVO go faster?

I'm looking to get anywhere from $7K to $8K for my bike, and I will include $2K worth of mods/accessories in that price. I figure with an extra $7K or so I can make my EVO go low 11's high 10's

Can someone persuade me either to sell or keep the bike?

Ohh thats okay.... All summer long my buddies were crashing and hurting themselves real bad while I was just cruising in my EVO. my girl told me that she'd kill me if she hears of me or sees me riding my bike....

Anyhow, I need to see how much I can get for it.... with all the mods/accessories included.

But IMHO, I think i like the look of the 05 GSXR600 over the 06's......

The 06's look like the 05 GSXR1000 which I hate the look of....

I can afford to have both, but I cant ride both at the same time to get my money's worth....so instead of letting my 600 mile bike sit in the garage and collect dust and depreciate in value over time, I'm thinking if I sold it and got the $7K-8K in mod money freed up, I can enjoy the EVO even more....

I was really looking into sportsbikes, and I know they would be a blast to ride, but I figured when I get my evo, I can sit in a car, have the a/c blowing, get to work/school without being stuck in leathers all day long in the sun. The car is just way more practical. So mod the evo, sell the bike.

My wife is a Rehabilitation nurse not to be confused with physical therapy. These people will never be normal again they are mainly brain injury patients. I entertained the thought of buying my buddies bike and one little factoid stopped me.

I've known 3 people in 10 years get killed on a bike all of them because a car hit them.

I've known 2 people that were killed in the last 10 years on bike due to there own stupidity go 130mph+ on a onramp not being able to see the backed up traffic on the other side.

My wife sees a motorcycle patient about every 10 days, most are younger than 25. I don't know the ratio of cars on the road to bikes on the road, but the number of people injured severely on a bike must be huge for all the patients my wife sees.

So, in a nutshell no bike for me!!

+1 sell the bike. I see people with brain injuries all the time from riding bikes. It;s not pretty.

if you ride it that rarely, id sell the bike, buy a 5 year old honda cbr600rr then take the extra dough and dump it in the evo.

So girls tell a guy what to do, what to drive or not drive? Huh? Who made them boss?
Guess some guys start out early getting whipped. Makes them much more obedient later on.
Be better off having the bike and car unless the bike scares you. Then it would be better to sell it to a real biker.
Reliable 10 sec EVO will cost atleast $8000 in parts, and thats doing all the labor yourself. Thats using top notch stuff that won't need to be upgraded or changed later.
