Ok, everyone should get a good laugh out of this... except it's like grand theft by the dealership. I just got a reply from the Boise dealer and they quoted me a retail price of $42,294. I just about choked. They did say that since I'm overseas serving in Iraq that they would offer me a special price of $38,299. How generous of them... I'm still shopping around. So far I've found an offer almost $2K below that, but still hope to do better. What do you all think about that though? CRAZY huh???

I know you want IX's...One dealer in scottsdale wanted 40,000 for an 05 MR. I thought that was crazy.

$2K below that 38,299 is about what you'll pay for an MR...

If you are willing to pay a mark up then you might as well buy a new 05 at invoice and trade it in when the price of the nine drops!

I'd wait for this: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...9_406_full.jpg

Front of that thing reminds me of a nurse shark for some reason.

I just called Eric (supposedly the store manager) at HB and he said low 36K for 06 MR. He wanted me to put money down. I haven't yet. I am all the way up in Phoenix. He said he was going to get 16 MR's and 8 of them were already sold. we'll see. I am willing to fly down there and pick one up if I get a godd deal.

The funny thing about it, over 50% of IX MR owner will pay that, . I rather drop a few thousands more and get an M3.

Well, it's actually more than a few Gs (base MSRP of M3 is now $48.9k).

But anyway, that's what I've finally decided to do instead of getting the IX MR I've been lusting after for the past several months. Negotiated a good price on a brand new M3 for March/April '06 delivery and I'll be placing my deposit this week. Wish I could own an Evo too; maybe one day.
