So what is the official MSRP on the MR? Also, is the loyalty rebate offered by mitsu or is it just a specific dealerships? In addition, are HIDs standard on the MR......

The Lancer Evolution sedan is available in three trims: base IX, RS and MR Edition. The base Evo offers features such as 17-inch Enkei wheels; air conditioning; power windows, mirrors and locks; a CD player; and a tilt steering wheel. The RS edition is essentially a stripped-down iteration of the standard car for those who want the most bang for the least amount of buck. It lacks amenities like power windows and locks and has thinner sheet metal and aluminum panels to reduce curb weight (about 50 pounds less than the base Evo). The top-line MR Edition includes Bilstein shocks, BBS wheels, HID headlights, exclusive trim pieces and unique badging. Options, depending on the trim level, include leather seating, a 315-watt Infinity sound system, an in-dash six-CD changer, a power sunroof and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler.

Absolutely true, just not my style. If my power is going to the rear wheels I like a lot of weight on them.

Just bought my Apex Silver IX w/SSL package for below MSRP!

MSRP was like $35,114 or whatever. I didn't want the SSL but since he kept hyping it up until get this:

I told him the stereo was gonna be the 1st thing yanked out of the car...then I asked him to show me the 'fog lights' which he then tried looking at the two new air holes on the bumper (yes I know where they really are)...and I told him HID were standard on all the models..and he believed it! So he dropped a little over half of the $3K SSL add-on price.

Had him drop the bull **** charges (detail, interior guard, "loyalty card") and finally brought it down to $32K...

After state taxes, title/license/documentation fee and all the other mandatory ****...it was just under $36K.

Wow...the beauty of AWD turbo!

Why would dealer sell it to you below MSRP?

Either they can wait it out and try to get some poor guy to over pay or they can have a quick turn around. A quick turn around is nice because sitting cars don't make money and more evos from the factory do.
