It's not stupid at all. You weren't educated on which mods to get for $1500, so why would he assume you know how to drive the car properly? Go hit the track to get some 1/4-mile times, do an autocross, then do a road racing event. Next, add $1500 worth of mods and do those all over again to see the difference.

you'll obviously need a clutch, but try these...
a)turbo back exhaust
b)intake
c)re-flash
d)mbc

i was at payn technologies and saw a stock evo lay down 221whp and 219wtq on the mustang dyno, they installed these four upgrades and made 289whp and 291wtq.....now thats getting your 1500$ worth

then start saving for cams and alky kit!

Some magazine also claimed an increase of 14whp with a K&N Typhoon without tuning, but we know how that turned out...

I don't live anywhere near a shop that can dyno nor re-flash. Do mail in re-flashs work just as well?

I mean seriously who changes manifold as a first mod! Exhaust and intake, when you have that done them look at what is next.

I have a WORKS P2 flash and have had it reflashed 5 times (all for free after the first). They have done it each time I have purchsed an upgrade from them that required a reflash.

your speaking of a mail in re-flash tho right? How does that work? You mail them... whatever it is you mail... And then you get both your new part and your new re-flashed chip? How long does that take? I suppose you're with out your car for a while too huh?

all you do is take out the ecu (behind the glove box, 5 min job) and fed-ex it overnight. vishnu, buschur, whomever will send it back to you the same day they get it (only takes a few minutes to reflash) overnight fed-ex and put it back in. make sure to list all your mods to them so they reflash it correctly.

1500 is more than enough to buy an exhaust and intake in my old 3geclipse I changed intake ,exhaust, headers, pulleys all the bolt on's to start with 1500 I was going to go intake exhaust turbo manifold get everything tuned plus if I really need to I have more money but I didn't want to spend it got another baby on the way so more money is also available my goal right now is 350 whp as cheap as possible with all good parts that I am not going to have to change a bunch of times
