WoW....87 Octane in an Evo...so sad...a guy who lives up near me in Wayne, NJ filled up his tank one time at a gas station. We have Full Service here (its the law). He tells the dude to fill up premium, the incompetent man filled up regular and the Evo guy found out when he got his credit card/gasoline receipt that read regular. He told the guy and the guy said he put in premium. The guy drove home and everything was fine. The next day...he was doing a hard 3rd gear pull at 5500 rpms and his motor blew. All that knock produced by the 87 octane caused his motor to blow. He took pictures of his engine...his cylinder literally melted in spots. His Piston was fried. As a lesson to all who dont know **** about the 4G63....the more expensive/ better quality product you have, the more expensive it is to maintain. Example would be some of your girlfriends...hahaha...get the idea? Just fill up the damn premium.

BTW, I feel very bad for the dude with the evo in Wayne NJ as i explained above....but i believe he has made some progress in a deal with the gas company that is at fault for his incident.
