MR and Unleaded Gas
MR and Unleaded Gas
Just had to share this:
I manage a Shell Station here in Orlando Fl. so today a typical day of high Gas prices I see a MR pull in. So I wave the guy off to pump but then I notice he picks up the 87 octane nozzle, so I page him on the intercom to tell him dude your getting the wrong octane!!. He says ok and continues to use the 87. He comes in to pay and I say why did you put 87 in, you need 93 in there or your evo's gonna drive like ****. He tells me the MR can run on 87 but the regular EVOs use 93. Man I cracked up and just let him be.... IDIOT

some people think it's so expensive to pay for premium. here, our 14 gallon tank @ $2.95 (87 octane) costs $41.30. $3.15 (91 octane) costs $44.10. That's a whole $2.80 savings. Big whoop. I'll pay the extra ashtray change to ensure my car runs good. That guys's an idiot to have an MR and put in 87.

Its amazing man, when you choose to buy a 30000+ car you should at least know you'll pay roughly 10 Bucks more on gas than a normal car that uses 87oct. We humans think really weird.....
90% of us don't even care roughly what we pay at a grocery store once the price isnt too outrageous, but to pay couple cents more on gas we have a fit....

What's worse is waiting in line for gas. There'll be two gas stations across the street from each other one is 5 cents cheaper so there's a line to fill up while the other is empty. Every 10 gallons you save 50 cents, is tha treally worth the 10 minute wait? People are damn weird.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Just do us all a favor, next time he comes in - hit him with a bat. And take his keys away from him. I feel for that engine, knocking every which way but right (not that knocking ever is good).
And this is way the dealers give us a hard time,
"ah my engine is junk"
"what gas did you use?"
"ah 87"
= warrently gone.
Did you tell him that the MR and GSR or RS all have the same engine? Clearly he shouldnt have gotten an Evo. Maybe a Civic would be better.
