First thing I would do is find out exactly whats wrong. Then figure out what you need to fix it. If you care about the car you will just start to work towards fixing it instead of waiting for your parents to make up there mind.

Have you tried adjusting the clutch at all?

I think that you need to get a 03-04 cobra. you can find one for less than 30 grand and they make alot of hp stock. It will seat 4 but is still a two door. and as far as moding goes the sky is the limit. JMS in mobile alabama sells a package for a grand that will give you an additional 130hp to the wheels. with that kit you would have over 500 at the wheels and still have a safe reliable car that is fun to drive.

He said He needs something PRACTICAL!!

If you've done everything you've listed, and haven't found the problem, I'd say it must be driver error. Sorry man but if there's no mechanical faults (that you can find, anyway) then it must be you.

As for the brakes, it might be one of those wear indicators? the metal strips that touch the rotor when the pads reach a certain level of wear?

Just gonna have to track the problem down and fix it. If you're not under warranty, just take it to a specialist or something.

Theres no way you need a twin plate with that level of mods.

i know, but the act isnt disengaging properly at high rpm's (a problem that a lot of them are having recently) so i figured that if i get a new clutch itll be a twin plate so i dont have to upgrade it in the future

Buy an AWD 4g63 91 colt from me, then use the rest of the money for college, get a degree and BUY YOUR OWN CAR! Mommy and daddy worked for their money, you should too!
