Paint sucks

Has anyone noticed that the paint on the front end is different than rest of car? The front fenders appear to be different shade than the doors they sit next to. At first I thought it was just mine, but now every one I see it sticks out like a sore thumb.

My dad said the same thing to me the other day about my Apex Silver. I personally never noticed it.

I do bodywork for a living and in my opinion the paint is original. That was actually my first thought when I saw it, but after seeing other evos with same result, it makes me think that the paint is adhering differently to the aluminum on the fenders than it does to the steel on the doors.

I thought it was just the way the light was hitting the flared/chisled fenders.

The paint on my '03 is awful. The front end is chipped/swirled to hell and it has only 17,000 miles from mostly city driving. The side view mirrors are off color too, its looks like it has no clear coat on it... Plus calipers and wing are peeling.. BAH!

I ordered a new Porter Cable 7424 DA Polisher with some sweet pads... I loaded up on Meguiars swirl, polish, wax. Hopefully, it will make it last longer and look better.

Two of the standard Evo factory options are 1) bad paint & 2) bad allignment.
