I didnt feel like having to keep messing with it so I just bought a set of all season tires to keep on. They still grab the road very well in the summer and get me through the snow in the winter. Plus I didnt feel like having to buy 2 sets of tires since my stockers were worn out.

When should they be changed? I was going to wait until it hit the 30s.

I got my allseasons put on yesterday. Had my last autox for the season and did not want to drive on my bald Advans anymore. From now on it will be allseasons all the time and r-compounds for track days and autox.

More than temps, I think you need to worry about snow and ice. The advans turn into ice skates at the first sign of snow.
So I put mine on at the latest possible day before I think it will snow - usually early to mid november.

yes snow and ice are no good with summer tires. go for some really good all seasons or studless snows. yokohama has a nice cheap set of snows i believe. they look like knobby gravel rally tires. haha
