Chris car has to be a beast when comes out, but knowing this guys from CFT(Sergio and Rolo) I know that they built some crazy stuff. Have no doubt that this race will be very interesting. Good luck to both projects

The race with the CFT Civic and Chris's EVO will be a good one.

ok first off lets leave this on topic.

Secondly we have had several people tell us that this evo or that Evo is going to run 8's we welcome the challange. it just pushes us harder. I can tell you that in order to make an 8 sec pass on a close to full weight Evo the car would have to put down well over 1000 hp to the wheels. I dont know the specifics on that black car pictured about but that turbo or that FMIC will not support 1000 hp. so unless he has a completely different setup getting tossed on there I really dont see how 8's are feasable.

As far as turbo placement goes, its nothing new. Lots of drag cars turn the turbo like that and run a slim radiator. we opted not to because it takes away from the streetability of the car.

so once again guys please keep this on track. No fighting

Eric

Back on topic, that GT42 has to be pretty heavy, are you going to fabricate some sort of support bracet for it, maybe something like an O2 housing that bolts to the block like the stock set-up? I am sure that the manifold is pretty stout, but it just looks like a lot of weight hanging out there. Beautiful work one way on the other!

Eric,

How realistic is a car like the black EVO as being a daily driver pushing those kinda numbers ? How would his fuel consumption play into a factor? Wouldn't he be at the gas stations constantly ? I mean with my measely stock EVO 8 i play "how many miles can i get outta a tank" , and usually its at tops 273. Does the black EVO have a extra fuel cell or is it really just not a daily driver ?

If I built an EVO with that kinda power I prolly wouldnt use it as a daily driver.

With a daily driver I would prolly just put a T3/T4, GT3076, and maybe a 35R but nothing bigger...
