Top 3 or 4 mods for an EVO

ludikrat- where to you get your allignment done. my mechanic is now selling mac tools? how much? and when is the ch ch ch sound, during spool up or after realisng the pedal? spool up in 3rd-5th makes a fluttering/ticking sound sometimes for me. almost like a vibration in the dash, but its outside and only during spool up.
aps: friend has a high 11s evo with it and it holds nice. sounds good too. not extremely loud and more of a high pitched piiisssssh. no idle problems with a aem intake (came with car) and aps. tuned by himself with a safc.
mods kind of depend on your goals and model year. a flash is good but completely impractical if you plan on adding more mods in the future. dont get me wrong, flashes are great, but you should get one when you are done modding for at least a year or two. with that being said
1. tbe
2. boost control via flash, ebc, mbc
3. fuel control via flash, or a safc (ems, or xede if you are going crazy with your car)
4. 03-04s: 10.5 hotside. 05s: header or cams 06s: header (i think cams will not be as good of a mod with the mivec but i don't know for sure)

If the ch..ch..ch sound occurs when you let off the pedal, then you've got compressor surge caused by the BOV. If you get that kind of sound, or violent bucking when you floor your gas pedal at lower rpms as the turbo is coming into full boost (esp. in 5th gear), then your turbo is surging (also very bad).
