I had a GTR. Sold it and just recently purchased another Evo. I had an 03 Evo a while back. This one is a IX MR. I just couldn't deal with the new front end of the X. The GTR was super fast and had great steering but just way too big and too good to have fun without losing your license. Still have my E92 M3 but the Evo hands down is my most favorite car. It's such a tactile car. It's like a motorcycle where I have my hands over the wheels. Tough to explain to others but you guys know. I have a 2010 997.2 GT3 on order. That may be the one though to topple the Evo though. We'll see

I agree with the OP from 4 years ago.

an EVO is a hard car to replace. I've had mine since purchased new in 04. I've thought MANY times about trading it in for something newer/faster/different for no other reason then I wanted a change, not because there is anything wrong with the car. But it comes down to the fact that I can't find anything remotely close in price that has the same fun factor along with the versatility you get with 4 doors & AWD.

I've got just over 106k on the car currently in the 5 almost 6 years I've owned it. I think that is the longest I've ever kept any car, and I have a feeling I'll be keeping my EVO for a very long time to come.

Ive never been dissapointed in owning An evo but sometimes My evo because im somewhat OCD with my car so i had to fix all the little things when i got it. paint chips, broken lighter lock wouldnt lock with clicker ect..then clutch went out.. Its in perfect shape now other than my door makes a little creeking sound while driving..kills me inside a little. Holy old thread BTW and ive driven both..Subies are a step down.

For the Mid 30Grand you can't get anything that is touching the performance attained by the evo. 0-60 in the mid 4second range? Haven't stock evo's ran 12's?
