Uh, if a 450rwhp Camaro can't run below 9s in the 1/8, the driver needs to be shot, or the car does. a bone stock 275hp (crank hp) LT1 will run 9.0s-9.2s.
A Camaro with 450rwhp should at least be running around 7.7-8.0 in the 1/8th.

Here's a slip from my 1994 Camaro when it was stock, on Eagle GSCs, 275hp at the crank, 4spd automatic transmission, and 3.23 gears.
R/T .560
60'- 2.174
330'- 5.992
1/8- 9.126
MPH- 78.76
1000'- 11.836
1/4- 14.133

Not true at all you guys think way too much about imports and the crappy launches that imports have compared to domestic RWD counterparts.
Go to Ls1tech.com and look at some times with 1.2 and 1.3 60' times that where the E.T is at. If a EVO pulls 1.5-1.6 most people are like "Damn great launch", but that sucks for a RWD drag car.

A vette running 8.90@151...when you think the AMS evo ran a 9.48@156mph it's all the launch.
Back down to the original question it would be hard to run a 9@130mph, but it has been done with a sub 3000lb car.
Here is a link to dragtimes.com and there are many camaro's in the 9's@131mph+
there is even one that ran a 8.70@147mph and another 9.1@140mph another 9.98@132mph.

No way in hell at that much weight,I'd say about 600-800 HP N/A at the crank and 3000-3200 lbs should go 9s on a 28x10.5 tire.this is in response to the original question.
