Mounting the Intercooler somewhere else?

well i was just asking because since i live in canada having the intercooler mounted on where it is, is not allowed for some reason.... so all you guys that are flaming cant shut up about it. If it were leagal in canada i wouldn't ask

Thats a V mount.... good setup or roadracing becasue it gives you 100% exposre for your radiator and you IC. It's expensive to do and you usually need a really big oppeninf in your bumber for adequate airflow.
I think mounting the intercooler above the engine by the firewall is supposed to get air that bounces off the windshield and collects in the cowl area. Its like why all the old muscle cars use cowl hoods. I'd still rather have it mounted up front so everyone can drool over it when I'm driving down the road.
The reason wrx intercoolers are under the is because the turbo is in the back of the engine,When you see a wrx with a front mount its for show because you are definatly losing critical cooling when the air travels farther, Your right this is a dumb thread
