Back on topic if you guys don't mind. I am heading back to the track this weekend with the SACF set-up on MAP to see what kind times I can get. I am hoping to pick up a few mph and put her into the 11.50's, but we shall see. I think it should be pretty easy to have a mid 11 second dailty driver but intil I do it its just thinking.

I think you CAN and WILL do it, but I don't think it will be good for the avg joe, nor the avg noob like this guy. You are in the upper 10-percentile of knowledge and driving ability. When answering these questions, I try to answer in terms of what the middle 50-percentile could accomplish.

i dont know what everyone is flipping out about having a 11 sec car as a dd. Its really not that hard, when you look into comparrisons to domestics, as well as most other imports. I believe that the evo, is prob one of the best cars to have in this situation. Not only does it cost a hell of alot less to have the power in a 4g63, it is by far way more drivable then most. Oh.. and as far as the "Average Joe" being able to drive an 11 sec evo. Put this into perspective. A rwd car. that has the power to go 11's, is by far WAY harder to drive as well as to launch. My friends supra runs 11's on pump gas. It has over 700 bhp on premimum. Talk about a hard car to drive. This thing spins the tires thew all 4 gears. Not only is the clutch extrememly stiff, and grabby. It is very very hard to launch on the street, as well as the track. The EVO is awd, anybody should be able to launch the thing. Too many people are soo freeked out about launching there car and breaking parts to actually get the full potential of their car. SO having a 11 sec evo is by far one of the easiest car to do so in.

exactly which domestics are you talking about? it's not that hard at all to do 11's in a V8, not saying it's "easy", but it's not hard as say a VW or BMW. elaborate please.

ok 11's on a stang right. Not only do you have to have a decent ammount of work done to you car. I dont know the exact dollar value. But i am sure that the evo is cheepier then most NEWer cars. But a 11 sec stang would be a very difficut car to drive on the street. It gets bad traction in regulara conditons, put snow.. and rain in there and what do you have. Not to mention 8 mpg.

I just reported this crap, and I will not stand for this type of e-thuggery and verbal-attackaging.

ease and money are two different worlds. don't worry, i'm just busting your ***** a little bit btw, 11 second stangs are no harder to drive on the street than and other 11 second cars. every car has their streetability quirks. my friend used to drive his mid 10-second LS1 Trans Am everyday with no ill effects. other than LOUD, hahah

thanks to everyone who gave legit feedback
WOW!! I read this thread and - even though I haven't even been on this forum that long - I recognized that some of the posts Warrtalon quoted were posts where you antagonized him. I'm amazed that you're shocked he called you out. Oh yeah, its not 'cool' to search a forum instead of asking repetitive questions (and it adds bodyfat)?! I guess I weigh too much now from joining this forum to still be bench pressing 2x my bodyweight. Damn it!

Warrtalon - After searching through a lot of threads where you have contributed, I'm amazed at your restraint! Even when you cut someone down for asking repetitive questions, you often still leave them with the answer they were looking for! People are just too sensitive sometimes...

Maybe the forum could have a report post button for helpful members?

Oh, and thanks to everyone for the informative discussion on build packages for 11sec daily drivers! Great info!

I doubt the mods really see anything wrong with Warr and the way he handles things, its just the annoyance they get from the tards hitting the 'report' button...so, the only way to fix that is say something to warr, or remove the 'report' button.

which you think they'll choose?

for the record, warrtalon has helped me out everytime i have asked him. i like his sarcastic responses even when directed at me. i have said stupid stuff without realizing it and he helped me see how dumb it was. rock on, and i would gladly join your other site if i could pass the mandatory test. leave him alone mods, ban these noobs who post two or three threads to ask if there HKS SSQV will fit on there injen intake.
