Evo purchase and credit question? (CALLING DEALER EMPLOYEES)

I was wondering if anyone could tell me who Mitsubishi uses as their lender? I was also wondering what kind of scores most of you had when purchasing your Evo's? I'm looking to get an 06 RS in the upcomming months. I'll be putting about $5k down. I have the income to support the payments, no problem. Only issue is my credit due to a recent nasty split with my ex. I'd just like to at least get a heads up on what kind of rate I can expect and what kind of payment I'm looking at with the money I'm putting down. I'm guessing my FICO is somewhere in the mid to low 500 range. Also, if anyone know's what credit reporting agency Mitsubishi uses, that would be nice to know also. Thanks in advance for any input.

Wow, sounds like you won't have much luck gettin a good interest rate. My score was around 680 and I got 7%. I don't know if the 0% financing is still going on but you probibly won't get it with that score.

500 is very low...You might have to find a co-signer that's credit worthy....otherwise save up more $$$$$ for a good downpayment....best of luck to you man....

I'm wondering the same kind of thing. My score is in the mid to lower 600s and I was wanting to know about what kind of interest rate i should expect.

I'd say go with MMCA (Mitsubishi Motor Credit of America) as your lender. That's what a Mitsu dealer offers you by default. I got my Evo two months ago, IIRC my score was 672 and I was offered either 0% at 60 months or 1.9% at 72 months, both options with 0 down. On top of that they offer me a brand new 2005 Evo VIII SSL for $32,000. I think it was a good offer.
Good luck.

If you can't get the 0.0% from MMCA, then try your a local credit union. They are far more flexible on rates.

I wonder if they will offer 0% interest on the Evo IX this year (Or even 1.9%) I'd go pick one up after work today if they did as it would put me with the payment a month that I want (Instead I'm saving money for a downpayment that will get me the payment I want) :P

Yeah, a few weeks ago I received a letter from Centerone letting me know that they will handle my payments. No changes on the term though.

I think the 0% or 1.9% offer is no longer available. Instead they have the one year free gas offer.

500 score would be in 16.5% to 22%.
630 score would be about 8.9% to 12.9%
