Is j-garage.com trustworthy in importing?
I was wondering if any of you have had experinces with the j-garage.com importing company. I was planning to get an evo VII there or @ EI, and I found a cheaper used evo VII there so I was wondering if any of you know about them, and if they are truistworthy?
(admins: If this dosnt fit in here, could u pls PM where where you would move it 2?, thanks

They can import em, but they don't guarantee legalization, if you read all over their page it says imported cars are used for racing only. So your car will probably be held at customs for quite a while.
Yes, they handle all the procedure to un-register the vehicle in Japan in order to legally export it (you can't export a registered vehicle, it's considered as auto-thief). The ship the car to the port in Japan and arrange the shippment and send you your bill-of-laiding (proof of vehicle shipped) and bill of sales (proof of vehicle sold to you) and other needed documents at that point.
The document will reach you before the vehicle reach the port of entry in the US...anything beyone that is YOUR own responsibility, they don't deal with getting the car registered in the US nor do they care

About importing a car over here. IT's pretty safe to import I only heard of a 30% damage to vehicle ( straches to major damage). Most companies offer insurance of the value of the car so check the insurance offered by the company. Or you can try
www.rush corps.com
They guarantee all their vehicles up to 125% of car price ( depends on the cars condition and where is it being shipped to)
I hope this helps

it does not matter who claims what......
NO ONE except Motorex can import skylines legally (and make them street legal), and NO ONE can do it with Evo VII's or EVO VIII's!!!!!!
you can dream all you want (been there, done that) about swapping vin #'s, just slapping a plate on the car, etc...... but even to get the car in your hands you would need to claim a "racing" exemption...... It is not nearly as simple as "I am going to race it".
You need to show your license, what race schedule, etc....... Read the rules...... only fairly rich people can afford to chance importing something then illegally attempting to make it a "KIT" car or some **** like that. Bill Rielly of Rielly and Scott made his "race" Evo V into a "KIT" car... Total bull****, but he has enough $ and connections...... then he tried selling it for $45k... so he is already rich and then tries to make $ by selling it for a profit......F'ing beautiful!!!!
Look at how long EI has been trying...it has now been about 12 full months and it will be another 12 months...
Goodluck.....the rules are against you for sure.
