Just wondering if anyone has heard about the IX's new ECU with
M-Mitsubishi
I-Innovative
T-Tampor
E=Electronically
C-Control
and if anyone in Japan has been able to modify the stock ECU.
Has Shiv or Al had a crack at it. Just wondering how ECU tuning will be for the IX I am sure they will be hard at work.

He's talking about the ECU being hard to crack in order to make changes. Techie stuff if you will.

 

Correct the Evo IX has both Mitec and Mivec.
Mivec is the head and electronically controlled valves and cam adjustments.
Mitec is a new ECU based software desinged by to prevent ECU reprogramming or Flashes to say for the stock ECU and could have an effect on ECU flashing of the stock system. Since the IX has been available in Japan for several months now I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with tuning?

 

The guy here locally that does flashes(Jestr tuning), will be able to try to see how a Evo IX MR responds to the flash from someone who just purchased the car

 

I am working very rapidly and quickly on the release of the Dyno Flash for verison IX Evo - will update progress next week

ok.. we have one person saying that MITEC will make it harder/not able to flash the ECU

and we have a vendor saying he is working on it?

There will be no issue with reflashing the 9

 

I guess we will have to wait till AL and everyone else starts flashing the IX's
