Unhealthy Addictions

Guys, I gotta know.

I'm a HUGE car buff. I love cars, and I love driving. In fact, I believe I'm addicted to driving. I will wake up in the middle of the night ANXIOUS to go out and drive the following morning.

I get bored, I go for a drive. Hell, make it two drives. In fact, I'm so addicted to driving, that I may put 75 unnecessary miles on a car in one outting. If I don't drive for a while, I become really irritable, and just HAVE TO drive.

I mean, damn, I just can't stay out of the seat of either my Camaro OR my STi. Well, my Camaro's transmission blew up, but my STi, anyway. I bought my STi on 3/31/05, and I've already logged nearly 8,000 miles on it. It's like if I don't drive it everyday, I get really anxious.

Anyone else have this problem?

I also found myself having similar problems to you. That is until I met my Emmy!

No thanks. Delivering pizzas is a dangerous job. Not only would someone probably try to jack my STi, but I'd get robbed. Not worth it.

Exactly! And I especially hate when it rains! I dunno, man. I'm just addicted to shifting, and getting pushed back into the seat. I LOVE that feeling.

And to the other guy....Who's Emmy?

I wish I had that problem. I just picked up the EVO 2 weeks ago, already have 3000 miles. Traded in a 14 month old VW R32 for my EVO, which I put 46,000 miles on after I bought it new with 39 on the clock.

8,000 miles in 7 months is not much at all, I typically do more in 1 week than you do in 4. You can bump that up a bit

Definitely know the feeling. I've gone over a 100 miles per drive many times for absolutely no reason. Driving never seems to get old to me and nightly/weekend cruises will prob continue for me even through the winter. 32k in a little over 2 years and my daily commuting totals 6 miles.

This weekend makes 2 months with my car, and I only have a 2.5 mile commute to and from work, so 1,000 joy riding miles has put me just over the 1,200 mile mark. I have a feeling this will be a low mileage EVO. Sure do enjoy my time behind the seat. I'll have to make a road trip before long.
