First time I ran my evo at the track and I was a bit disappointed, the ****ing 4th gear synchro kept ****ing up my runs.

I was hitting a consistent 1.9 for the 60 foot, and I was tearing it until I hit 4th and it would grind so bad that the gear just wouldnt go in at all even if I slammed it. I ended up giving up after it grinded and pretty much coasted but I got a 14 flat with a trap of 72mph. What do you guys think? What time do you think I can hit?

Practice... practice.. U got an evo and its suppose to be a monster. Dont upset the other members b/c prolly they gonna tell u that u dont deserve to own an evo.

On the rest, you're wrong. Did you not notice that he said he could never get into 4th? Don't you realize that he's hitting the traps 30mph slower than if he could hit 4th? We hit 80mph at the 1/8th, so for him to hit the traps at 72 means he was probably going to do pretty well. I've seen plenty of Evos get 14 flat without missing any gears.

Anyway, evo_ik, there is a drag racing forum. That's where drag racing threads go. I can't estimate a time for you until I see your timeslip(s). There's no way to estimate off of what you said.

Wow 14.0 flat while you couldn't shift into 4th. That's a pretty good time if your gear box isn't taking a dump. How you ever get it checked up yet?

 

Go back to the track and get your low 13's .
