How do you guys think this looks? (Dual Exhaust)
with how much you seem to be defending the idea (after people have given you the opinion you asked for), it seems like you're pretty set on it. i'm going to agree with most of the people who have posted and tell you: just do it! who cares what other people think?
but since you did ask, i do think it looks sorta ricey. this reminds me of the kids with 110 hp corollas, preludes, and (gasp) lancers who set up a dual exhaust/outlet/muffler/etc setup... i didn't like it then and i don't like it now. not only that, but it makes the car look like it has massive badunkadunk. somehow it just doesn't fit the style at all. sorry.
and whoever said that saying the word rice is racist, stop pretending that you're oppressed (kanye).

My advice: research before trying to correct someone or writing something as a fact.
-The Honda S2000 has a factory dual tip exhaust.
-The Nissan R35 GT-R will be a turbocharged longitudinally mounted V6. It could therefore potentially have true dual exhaust.
-A V6 Honda Accord is transverse mounted engine wth dual tip exhaust.
Subaru also makes an H6 (boxer 6).
On topic... IMO it doesn't look bad. To each his own. However, i would expect a decrease in performance with a dual tip exhaust from increased backpressure due to the fact that there would be more piping and several harsh bends:

Just about every car out there has a fake split dual exhaust. After the last cat there is a y-pipe and then two mufflers. One of them might even be a little bigger then the other because most of the flow goes to that side.
This includes all the Honda V6's, Pontiac's, Mitsubishi 3000GT's etc. Pretty much every car that has a transverse mounted engine. You can't have equal length headers, and dual pipes if your engine is sitting sideways in your car, plus there's usually not enough room to do it. FWD and/or transverse engine + dual tips = fake split dual. I have never seen a Honda Accord 4 cyl with a factory dual setup. Honda and Nissan use this trick to make their V6 cars look more upscale. But again, like Honda V6s, the Altima V6 and the Maxima, are just y-piped.
The only way to do it right is to have a logitudinally mounted V or H engine, usually an American V8 RWD car or a Subaru, and of course all the exotics. That is true dual exhaust. A few exceptions exist, like the GTO and the 350Z. The GTO goes down one side to a single exit but it is "dual", and the 350Z merges before splitting again. A good aftermarket setup can correct that.
I have no comment about the S2000, SRT-4 or M3. All of them are inline engines and don't need dual tips. I would not care to see this on an Evo.

Clearly most of you people are morons or can’t read. This guy has said multiple times he only cares about the looks. Yet a heated debate of the ideas practicality ensues. I guess some people will never get it.
oh and just because his into the looks of a car doesnt make him a ricer...like someone else said before ive never heard of a body kit adding hp.....but a lot of evos have them.....they must be ricers to huh?

I'm a ricer? I don't see how dual exhaust is rice at all, since it i'm pretty sure started in american muscle cars like the Mustang, ect. Furthermore, I like good looks AND preformance, but something that won't add any preformance but adds good looks isn't bad to me. Don't tint your windows, add sterio equipment, anything like that because it adds weight! I think rice would be if I put some huge wing on it with a fart can, stuff like that. It's a lot harder to rice a evo than like a civic. Cause face facts they're already a dictionary's decription of rice, but to me I love the car and don't consider it to be even though it technically is, and if that's rice, gimmy some more!

I didn't read all the posts, so sorry if repost. I have one objection to the dual pipes...resonation! You run one pipe off the downpipe, then split in a y-pipe, to dual outlets. This will create crazy resonation. My TA has a ton of resonation with the no cat, y-pipe set-up. Vette's with the same motor sound better due to true duals. Your exhaust will sound very tin can rattling like. I think it looks cool though.
