Hello all...I just wanted your opinion please on which taillights to get?

I just bought an EVO IX in the Apex Silver color and I was wondering what you guys thought:

1. Keep the taillights stock (smoked looked with clear turn signal)

2. JDM MR taillights (blacked out looked with amber turn signal)

3. EVO VII taillights (red look with clear turn signal)

As for me it's sort of a toss up...I was wanting to get the JDM Tails' to be a little different, but the few pictures I researched on here with Silver and JDM tails were like meh...I just couldn't tell.

For the current tails, in seem sort of altezza, thank goodness for the smoked looked though.

And the EVO VII looks pretty good just everyone seems to get those, but I only know of 1 car here in Anchorage, AK that has them.

Thanks guys for opinions and pictures if you have them would be great on silver of course...

 

JDM MR tailights are the far the best tail-lights for the Evo my opinion. Though the stock IX looks really good, i wouldnt waste money on gettin a better lookin tailight and i would rather get some performance mods or exterior stuff ( ex rims, CF, etc).

Though if u got money to throw around, JDM MR tailights.

 

I vote for JDM also... they look sick

I was going to swapp my stock clear tail lights on my EVO8 MR with my grilfriend's dark EVO9 tail lights. You should send me a pm and I could send you pics whenever I sawpp them. It should take us no more than 30 minutes..

 

All of them are good choices...Why not just buy the JDM and 7?..hehe..it all depends on your preference..You can't rely on others to decide which you should upgrade to because ones opinion will probably be different than your own. Either way, goodluck with your decision.

 

personally I think the JDM 7 lights look PLAIN. Get the mr jdm lights. stealth looks better. but if you got that kind of money then why dont you spend it on POWER instead? Who the WHO cares about Flippin LIGHTS!? once that poser looking other evo with a bad *** wing, sick body kit, and bumpin stereo comes up to your stock lookin evo at a light, you know you have something under the hood where he cant see. Plus most of the time those types spent all there dough on looks and forgot what was important.

Oh I know how to do it well, LOOKS AND SPEED, just like my ol' WRX.

I just wanted to leave the car stock for awhile and go for a little change from normal looks, to be a little different.

I took a better look at the taillights and they dont seem too altezzaish...still deciding between EVO VII's and JDM MR...

 

the stock 9 tails look decent , but imo jdm mr tails would look better on your apex silver

Hey just for sh*ts and giggles i will gve him a shout out , i heard EVO DAVE does really good work on mod tail and head lights, it would be alot cheaper than buying JDM lights. Maybe he would be able to help out and its deffinitly at a fraction of the cost of the JDM lights. He's on the vendors list down near the bottom. Might be worth your while .
