Accident......

so i slid off the road today, cause the Advans RULE in a heavy downpour, anyways, Annialate my front bumper, tore my APR splitter off. Wasnt to much damage other then dirt all over the car. the Splitter survived its one tough item. I cracked the drivers side of my front bumper, need to replace the bumper. The splitter is bolted to the underside of that little lip on the front bumper, it completely tore that littel factory lip thingy off. Anyone know where i can get a nice JDM Evo IX front bumper ... haha .....

U NEED AN FRONT LSD! My Tires are Balled and when I hit it in the rain I can still steer but the back end is trying to get in front of the car. Also with our wide tires its easy to hydroplain, its not fun @ all.

I wasn't aware of this either. Mine have always performed wonderfully in the rain, but not in the snow. Actually, it's not so much the snow as it is the fact that they get really hard when it's cold and become ice skates. I haven't had any problems in the rain, though, and that includes today's downpour.

Ohhhh, that doesn't happen often in sunney California, so I don't think I have to worry too much. However, the idea that it slides on wet surfaces still isn't settling well with me.

if it was raining that bad? maybe u should have drived slow? I mean if u drived carefully, i guarantee 100% that u would have never gotten in an accident.

advans are great in the rain, in the snow they are as bad as any street tire made. I know that is not the point of the thread, sorry about the accident.

That's rough...

These thing do hydroplane pretty badly. I was driving in very heavy rain, with alot of water on the highway, enough that you could see the rain coming down on the road in little splashes. I was going 80 and it was very dicey. At 65 it was even a little unsure, I never lost it though, it just felt very floaty, and yes, too fast for conditions.

Kind of an odd question but are snow tires good in rain, I'd think they would be as they have very deep tread?
