You always risk something better coming out when you purchase a vehicle. Just ask the GTO guys. They bought cars in 2004 with 350 hp LS1s, and then in 2005 they came out with the LS2 and 400 hp.

Figure on the IX will probably be released as a 2008 model in late 2007. I would never even consider purchasing a car that was in the first year of a "remodel," because there are going to be bugs that need to be worked out. That's going to give you at least 2 years to enjoy your car. At that point, there will probably be a better idea of what the Evo's redesign is going to actually look like. Someone else mentioned what happened to BMW, and he makes a very valid point.

If you're not sure which car you want, the Evo IX or the STi, then I guess you'll just have to punish yourself, and drive both. Boo hoo.

I also agree with Blonde. Get a car, and enjoy it. In other words, "sh*t or get off the pot."

Correct.

This is off topic, but this is the 2nd thread I've seen you type, "Don't flame me please" in. What's up with that? Why would I want to flame you?

thanks guys keep the feedback coming. im 30 years old and a father of two. i used to be into imports as far back as i can remember, but for the last 4 years ive been out of the seen and into jeeping and offroading with my lifted cherokee. which i plan on keeping, but i need something safer for the kids and at the other end of the spectrum compared to the jeep.
