I have an 03 VIII with a sunglass compartment. Apparently not all are equipped with this feature, though. Perhaps the RS has a different options package..?

Any Evo (RS?) will have the compartment unless it has a sunroof. The sunroof mechanism takes up the space where the compartment would be. I have an 03 with no sunroof, and hence a nice place for my shades

You remove the dash trim and unsnap the clock case from the fascia. I fabricated a bracket onto the back of the fascia to hold the timer so I would not have to modify (cut) the trim. I then velcro'ed the timer to the bracket. Due to the depth of he unit, I did have to modify the internal dash bracket for clearance.

I put my timer in the change cup to the left of the steering wheel. I originally had it in the cubby below the heater controls but, then I relocated my radio there and had to move the timer.

Thanks, I have a sunroof, so I'm not stupid. Shouldn't you have a sunglass compartment with a sunroof that just makes sense.

How much work was it to pull off your dash ? Also how did you go about making a brket for your TT ? Did you just bend up so sheet metal or did you have a shop make it ? I mean you would have to mount it to your dash some how ! Did you just use plastic rivets or did you biolt it in ? Give me a little more. I think this is where i want to put mine!

I bought a cf plate for the cubby hole and cut out the dimensions of the hks type 0 timer. You can get those at myevostore.com
