They Picked the STI as the winner in overall competition. The STI is = to the Evo mR and I just bought an STI --sticker $34,695 Bought at below dealer cost @ $31,750. with short throw shift, alarm, wheel locks, mats, boost gauge!! DEALS can be had--- from Delaware Subaru ....... Both great cars but the STI is a bargain. Got 1.9% finance to boot! Mitsu guy would not discount around but chump change. I also know I have a REAL warranty even if i do SCCA or race events etc.

yea most mitsu dealerships are honestly sh*t. the only thing stopping me from the sti is the looks and handling department.

225/45 tires on the Sti?? I call typo, or damn good for them to pull 0.9+g's with that little rubber. . .I saw a white IX today, unbe****inglievably gorgeous, and the little humps and aero effects are ++++. . .my vote, after seeing the 06 sti with that HIEDOUS fin on the rear window, goes towards the Evo, frankly because the seats are more comfortable, the HIDs are better, and it won't KILL YOU TO LOOK AT. . .

They voted on the canvas, not the final machine the owner will turn it into. I bought an Evo as a platform, not a finished work.

350Zs are gorgeous, and sound great, the VQ35 is one of the best engines made. That being said, it has a cheap feeling interior, huge blind spots even on the coupe (the roadster is worse), the acceleration is just average for a sports car of that caliber, and for the money, you can get an Evo/STI which is faster, has more seats, a much bigger trunk, is arguably more reliable, and probably costs less. Lets not get into a Z vs Evo/STI debate, since it really is what the owner is looking for. A nice sports car which is fun to drive and looks cool: Z, a ***** out performance car which blows almost anything else on the road away while still hauling family/cargo: Evo/STI.

Is that true? Especially for 06 when the Imprezas all get projectors?

When i went to pick up my actual tags from mitsu, i had only a boost guage installed and a salesman who was around my car was like "be careful with that stuff, itll cost u when they void your warranty". Im like dude you seriously need some car education!! ITS ONLY A BOOST GUAGE!! He's like we have voided warranty for guages too. I don't believe him really cause thats probably BS and if they have im sure those people have appealed it. My point is Mitsu is a pain to deal with from what i can see regarding warranty.

haha well for ME, the Evo looks better than the 350z.....just IMO though, don't flame me please. and 28k for z's performance, i'd rather work for a few weeks and save up $2000ish for any Evo

I.M.H.O. this is all my PERSONAL opinion, it does not mean that everybody in the world has to agree with me. thank you.

Well my experience has been very different. Mitsu has been very quick to point the finger at me for any problems. I've never raced, autox'ed, tracked, or modified the car (because I wanted to keep the warrenty) and they still denied me on things like the peeling clearcoat on my calipers, and refused to accept responsibilty for warped rotors at 6k miles. The warped rotors ended up being brake pad transfer but the point was that they (Mitsu service) honestly thought, and believed that I could warp these brakes after 6k miles. I've never experienced that kind of disrespect from a service department before.

Now, I'm dealing with the sh*tty clearcoat on my calipers that's bubbling up and peeling off. It's rediculous. These are the things that I don't hear about from the Subaru owners.
