I Need Help With Intake!!!

I need Help, I bought my friends Injen Intake with a welded on hks blow of valve and when I put it on my car it makes a horrible noise when your like 50-70% throttle it sounds like chugging (wo wo wo wo wo). I sound like a freakin pod racer. It is driving me crazy anyone know what it might be. It did not do it on his car and he is My cousin so I know that he would not give me a broken/malfunctioning intake. We put it back on his car and it still makes the noise. We have checked the clamps, the welds the spring tension. I have no clue what it might be. I still make boost and seldom over boost and if I go full throttle it doesnt make the noise anyone have any Ideas??????

You already posted this 3 times. You can't just repost in separate forums. That's against the rules.

Are the mods in your profile not accurate? They don't seem to jive with what you're saying here...

try adjusting the screw on the bov. see if the valve is fully closed when there's no vac in the line.

I've only been on this forum for about 3 months, and already sick of all the intake/bov threads that usually include "help!" somewhere in the post. I can't imagine how tiresome this must get for some of the evolved members.

wow dubble guy your so cool, Im happy to hear you never experience any problems with parts you tryout! or maybe u just don't have the money to try new stuff, I thought the point of having a forum is to discuss stuff, problems, what works what doesn't get others feedback, god forbid I ask if anyone has had similar problems or if they had any ideas since I have tried so many things to fix and it doesnt work. But I guess we can't all be like you!

people like you need to stop signing on forums, if you are sick of hearing about it. Just don't reply to it, it's simply, wow break through. Now you can continue your worthless life.

Sounds sort of like a part throttle compressor surge?? Try adjusting the BOV and see what happens.

is it jsut wo wo wo.. or more like "chuga chuga, chuga chuga, wo wo wo" ?

hehe, just can't help it :P
but seriously that sounds liek a compressor surge.
Let me get this right, you got the BOV (Recirculated I hope) attached to the Upper IC pipe, right? and the recirlated air goes to the Intake pipe (before the turbo), right?

If you want to be like me, try searching. This topic has been beaten to death on these forums, if you would have searched, you could have found an enourmous amount of information on your intake/bov question, all in about 5 seconds for the search to run. Instead, your original post was what?... 5 hours ago. And what have you learned from the responses to this thread? Not much that I can tell. Do a search, spend those 5 hours reviewing the search instead, and I'd be willing to be you'd already have it solved. And yes, I agree with you on what forum is for. This forum goes one step beyond! It's called the search function.

Intakes and VTA BOV's are notorious for causing issues just like you described on the EVO. Some have the problem some don't. I never claim to be cool (I'm an ol fart, farthest thing from cool), but I do spend the time to educate myself on a topic before posting a question I can't answer for myself with a search.

I'm sorry, did you say something??? I can't hear you over that darn loud BOV of yours....

Quote from aikido.... "Well i have a turbosmart BOV with an injen intake, i'm in love with the blow off sound, can't get enough. "
