Who said a evo has a advantage?? LOL and a GTR has lag well i hope your not talking about s-spec GTR they have twin turbo buddy and have the potential of easily over 1,000 hp and 7 sec 1/4s no EVO will ever hit even high 8's... EVER!!!!!! Stop being biased
when I was researching about importing evos and skylines to the US, I found the skyline to really be 360 hp and the evos to be atleast 320. Current October issue of motortrend says the stock Vspec can dish out 12.5 1/4 time.

I offerd to race him as he is one of my close baddys and he accepted ... the rest of the guys where laughing at me and said i would get my *** wiped so bad ..... we where 31 guys together and 9 voted i would lose and the GTR would kick my *** ... 2 said would win ..the rest didnt say any thing ..

Haha yeah that was painful, but give him a break, English probably isn't his first language. I agree it's going to come down to who the better drive is. My money is on the Skyline, sorry Evos! Good luck omarv6, prove me wrong and make us proud!
the TT inline 6 will own the evo at higher speed but low - mid it's all about the launch. This test has been done over and over many times in bestmotoring and top gear. just go to google video and search for it. BTW it depends on the gas too. If you use ****ty 91 gas like california then the skyline will win for sure.

The R34 should win but not by much, in the end it comes down to who is the better driver. A local guy down the street from me has a white R33 with stock turbos, fmic, full catless exhaust, ebc. We raced with my sti(20g turbo at 20 psi) and I handed him his ***. with my evo 9 he pulled on me hard.

The hell are you guys smoking? A stock baseline GT-R34 is NOT faster than an EVO 8 MR period. The Evo 8 will win if it's stock vs stock. Now if he had like VSpec II or Nur edition it'd be a different story, but base r34 vs evo 8 mr the evo 8 should win.

Stock vs Stock and if the driver aint stupid... man GT-R smoke you after 3rd gear for SURE because you know we done this many many times. Not R34 but we have done many many EVO vs GT-R, Supra, etc etc or STi vs them....
noway you can beat those twin turbo cars after 3rd gear with everything stock.
so my suggestion is .. find a road that either have lots of corner.. or straight but very short can only allow you shift into 3rd for like 1 sec or something .
