Stock vs stock. Read much?

 

well if you just read the times then what else I can say ... i been there done that my friend...... stock evo 3, 4, 5, 6 vs BNR32, BCNR33... man at luanch and 2rd gear Evos seems faster but after 3rd gear is different story ...


trust me or not I seen at least 100s of times. Some are stock some are lightly modded, even some cracka$$ NOS in STi got beated by 1045hp 300Z (some Thai guy) ..... if you asking me where do I seen these happens .. I used to live at New Zealand and we have original JDM cars, and every weekend night we have Illegal Street Racing. Sorry cannot tell you more coz its against the forum rules (street racing).


Yes I am not sure about Evo 8 or Evo 9 vs R34 but Evo 6 vs GT-R 33 Vspec is 3 cars away already (after 3rd gear) ... so guess Evo 8 is still far from winning .

well guys ....not much time left to see the truth ..... but i think i have a good chance ..
i raced a moded M5 from zero 1/4 mile and i killed it till 120 Mph .
i raced porsche 996TT auto ..and i was infront up to about 60+ mph .

did any one see the launch or the evo RS in the US ...its much faster that the normal GSR ..
u guys are comparing the GTR with the GSR ... the MR RS is so much lighter thats why i think it has a chance .

Keep in mind that your asking mostly Americans or North Americans about a Skyline. That car has a near legendary status here because most of us have never driven one. I have heard that in reality they are overweight, overpriced and ridiculously complex for what they do. Don't get me wrong, I love the car and of course they are fast, but there's a reason Nissan didn't sell them here. I say you have a good chance with a much lighter Evo and similar power. good luck!

 

Thing is he didn't say VSpec, he said GT-R. Had he said "My friend bought a brand new R34 Vspec, I'd agree with you but the baseline GT-R isn't as fast stock to stock.

DO u kno wat GTR stands for INVISIBILITY. Anywayz dont go with the the given quarter miles of 13.7, thats total BS. The skyline pulls low 13's. Its just a driver's race, off a dig its all bout the roll. But id say 3rg gear and on, the skyline will pull cause the evo top end is good but u kno thats why we have HKS cams for . If you both drive perfectly, it would be so close but again to the skyline.

 

well its the same for us here ....in my city there is maby 2 GTR33 and only one GTR34 wich is owend by my friend .
Its very rear and it somthing more of a legend its like a dream car here cuse for a reson we ar not allowed to get it in our contry ... maby cuse it only comes as a right hand drive and we only drive left hand .
my friends car is changed to left hand drive ..... cost alot .. but worth it .
still it was very hard to get the car in .

 

GT-R vspec is the best version of GT-R its like we Evos have MR Vspec has adjustable rear wings + some parts under body is carbonfiber....
Unless its Skyline GTS25T or GT-T .. GT-R is GT-R !!!

omarv6 is your friend's GT-R JDM or UK imported? what spec is it? M-Spec? Vspec? or M-Spec Nur?if it just M-Spec you might have a chance. just go very hard on 1st and 2nd gear and put 103 or 108 gas into your car before race.. not sure about your area but here in US I never seen 108. back to NZ we used to have BP 103 or some 108 (forgot brand) ..

BTW GT-R is heavy than EVO 8 but not that heavy .. its 1540kg to 1560kg depends on the spec .. its just 3395lbs ...

his car is a M-Spec .
well here our gas is 95 Ron so its somting like 91PON wich is the same u guys have in caly
but we have TORCO and VP racing gas .

 

Interesting - R33 GTS-R? I thought all GT-R's had the RB26DETT in them.

I hope the evo wins, but I think its more a drivers race. The Evo might get the launch, but as some of the other posters have said, I think the GT-R has it from 3rd on up.
