I just picked up my car today from having the ACT street disc clutch installed. I was taking it easy on the way home and I boosted a little just to double check everything and the boost climbs real slow and there is a whining noise that goes with the boost. It is kinda hard to explain but the higher I boost the more it whines in unison with it. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks in advance for any and all replies

 

it's a boost leak...sometimes that happens when replacing a clutch because some or most of the intercooler pipes had to come off......

 

where should I check...lower IC piping etc.?

 

I just had the same sound. It's a leak from the lower IC pipe. At least I bet that is what it is since I just installed an aftermarket pipe. Oh well, time to get under the car again.
