I have the plasma H11 fog light bulbs.....got them off of ebay for $5. They match the factory HID's perfectly.

If you go with 6k HID lights your vision will be reduced. The bluer the light the less visible illumination you get. I think the stock HID's are about as good as you can get.

if u have SSL, easy, if your don't, you'll need a conversion kit with the ballast, the converted DS2 bulbs to w/e the low HID is, and then wire it up, not that hard if ur compentent enough to take off ur front bumper, besides that, xenon depot have HID conversion kits so just those those and u won't have to buy nething else

Anyhoot, I had the 5800K from European Autosport. EA has a lower K scale than some other companies. So an EA 5800K rating may be 10000K for another company .

That's flat out purple. It definately took away from the brightness of the light since it's basically shining a purpled edged beam. If I were to do it again, I'd go for the 5100K which is more bluish. Although, driving around town @ night with the only purple headlights in town - definately turned heads.

Man, that's a lot of work just to change bulbs? On all my other cars you just reach into the engine bay to change them.

You have an '03. HID were standard on '03s. So, correct - you only need to purchase bulbs.

texas911, it isn't that bad. I went very slow the first time since I had no clue what I was doing. When I pulled the bulbs after I sold my EVO, it only took me 45 to take apart and put back.

It's not difficult to do the install at all. Like kdogg said, once you get the hang of it, it takes about 30-45 minutes for the entire job. With the plastic undercarriage guard removed, the task is a walk in the park.

Whichever company you decide to go wth, just remember.....STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING HIGHER THAN 6000K. It's a waste of money and time. I've had 6000K, 8000K and stock. By far, stock is the best.
