sorry man. that sucks. please stick it to them for all of us. call up MMNA and feel free to record all conversations with the dealer. i would also suggest sending certified letters to them instead of phone calls. that way they cannot deny you called to tell them of the problems. i went through virtually the same thing with my GST. it had so many problems that were never fixed. i ended up picking a day when the car was running good and I brought it in to trade for my evo. luckily they did not examine the car closely. g/l.

here is my solution to your problem:

1) get in car
2) drive to dealership when they are open for business
3) point wheels to the showroom
4) put car in 2nd gear (all the others are not working right)
5) do a clutch drop at 5000rpm
6) build speed (don't go over 88mph or you will go back to the future)
7) jump out of car and enjoy the show
9) when someone asks why would you do that, just say my tranny acted all weird
10) get new car from insurance

seriously now, i have read alot of bad stories on these forums but yours is way up there. i love the evo but i REFUSE to give mitsu my money until they do something about their dealers. i can tell you this much, my next car will not be a mitsu even if they come out with an evo 1000 with 1000 hp, awd and 2 jet packs in the back

Man I feel sorry for your car Sounds like it's in WAY worse shape now

Personally I would have my car towed to Buschur Racing before I'd let the dealer 10 miles away touch it.

I wouldn't be suprised if they try to deny your warrenty after all of this...

Boy did you hit that on the head! they say they will open it up, but the clutch (which they installed) will void warranty if anything is broken.

There is some good news, the owner of carriage called me. He said he remembers my car and knows that there were no dents in the roof and he's very sorry, and it will be taken care of when i take it back to get the sunroof fixed.

He also said that 3 stage clutches whine during their break in period. anyone here w/ an act2600 get a rather loud humming during the break in period around 3-4 gear? Also, he claims the rattling noise isn't the tranny but the heat sheild on the exhaust which wasn't adjusted properly.

This is what i've been told, but i don't know what to believe, i'm gonna put my car in the air and just take the head shield off and see if that fixes it

If not... how much is a shep tranny?

They should rename that dealership carnage not carriage.

Sorry about your experience and misfortune with that stealership.

you said that the car won't go into 4th gear so there is something wrong with the tranny. the clutch might have a slight noise but it should be something so bad that you would hear on the highway.

lastly, i wouldn't being my car back to them no matter what. why the f would you even touch the sunroof??? i would go straight to mitsu corp and ask them to come and shot down those idiots before they mangle another car.

damn, its not even my car and i am willing to go over there and bash some skulls..

Apparently?

I'm glad I bought a Subaru because of things like this. They have a little bit better service, but from what I hear, their service is nothing to brag about either.

This could be a prime example why Mitsubishi is in the hole.....

That really sucks. I hope everything works out ok for him. FWIW, I'd write a letter to the regional manager, or even the CEO of MoA. Just make sure to send the letter "certified," or only a chronie will receive it.

Maybe it's the service that's unreliable, and not the cars.....

Look, anyone can have a positive or negative experience. You can't determine customer service satisfaction from forum gripes/kudos.
