Help on buying a used evo

i am looking to buy a WW05 GSR no SSL with 27000 miles from the Mitsubishi dealer. i think the dealer is asking for 31000 for it and i know that is WAY too much for a used car. i looked up on KBB and the site said the price should be $28300 to start the negotiation. how much did u guys paid for your evo? what should be a good number for me to buy the car? i was considering about 25000 otd would be a good number. im buying this car with in a couple days i need your help

any of your buying experience would be greaty appreciated
thanx

Those are HARD miles, and too many for an 05. I would pass. probably TC, clutch issues are about to rear its ugly head. The KBB price is less if you add in the milage. good luck.

Get an 06' RS brand new for a couple grand more. 27k on an 05' gotta be highway miles but still you never know where a car has been esp. an EVO.

Wow...that is a lot of money for an 05 with 27k miles. I just bought an 04 evo w/ 8k miles with ssl and paid way less than that otd, and upon inspection I found a tag in the fold down rear arm rest off a baby toy so im thinking it could have been a fam. car... With those miles I would think that 05 has the wear and tear of an 03!
