Friends and Family dicount

Currently i'm saving a couple grand for a down payment on a IX. A good friend of mine that i used to work with says he has a few buddies he's know for a while that work at a Mitsu dealership. One is a service underwriter and the other is in sales. Has anyone had any experience with the friends and family discount and know how much it is? Cause if its $1500-$2000 I won't have to save as much and I can buy a new computer.

I'm asking because I have not gotten their numbers yet to call and ask. I don't know them that well, and only met them a couple times so i'm hoping i can get the deal. I'm kind of excited about the possibilty but i'm definitely trying to keep grounded about it in case they can't do it.

To make a long story even longer, as mentioned above, my home PC died and I'm gonna need to use some of that downpayment money to get a new one. (i'll die without one! Especially if i can't get on here 1-2 hours a day!) I won't feel so bad about it if the F&F deal takes a grand or two off the car.

it's usually straight invoice about 2k or 1% invoice but don't blow your money yet remember you still have tax and license

no matter how good of a deal you have, the dealer will always make $$$$ selling a vehicle to you...

Yeah, Yeah, i know the friend of a friend thing... But i have hung out with the guys a couple times. The guy who does service writing gave me his card when he was in sales and even went to the other guys Bachelor party. So its not like i don't know them at all.
