so i took my car in to the bodyshop a couple weeks ago. the body work went fine but it was suppose to be done last wed. only it wasnt cause the windshileds are on backorder. well the guy ordered one and when it finnally came it was in 50 or so parts. so now unless i can find one my car will sit in the shop for an extra two weeks just for a windshield. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A WINDSHIELD RIGHT NOW?????????

 

Try posting in the "Want to buy" section. You might have better luck. When ever i'm looking for something or selling, that's the 1st place i go.

Good luck, I had to find out myself that they are on backorder from Mitsubishi.

Apparently there is a two month waiting list for a new EVO windshield. I ordered mine two weeks ago, and I'm hoping by the end of the year I have a new one.

 

well that sux, yeah the guy told me they're on backorder. but i had one monday but i was broke. and its gonna take a new a week to get here. and ive been with out a car since 0ct 8th

 

does it have to be a mitsubishi windsheild? i would think any winshield place has oem replacements.

Just get a standard Lancer windshield?

The standard lancer one is different, its made out of thicker glass and the rearview mirror clip is in a different location... but it will fit

I been waiting for my new windshield for 3 weeks now suppose to be in this week. Mass. inurance covers 2 windshields a year...Thank God...but the wait does suck...

 

According to my source, there are 5 windshield due to the NJ depot literally any day now. There are 10 more due by Dec 15th. You probably ought to have the dealer you ordered from call the PDC and ask them how far your order is down the line. They can do that and that would give you a little closer idea of when it will ACTUALLY arrive at your dealer. They may have already done that but it doesn't hurt to ask them again.
