I dunno i think you should get a retune from the looks of your curves

 

I am still using stock turbo. Turbo is maxed out at the top end. It still pulls really hard throughout the powerband.

 

Probably doesn't even care. All they seem to care about is the 296.

 

The tunning was done on the street. The person who tuned my car was from Japan and we couldnt get a access to a dyno when he was here. So we tuned it on the street for hour and a half. I am very satisifed with the result. Let me see your guys dyno graph and the mods I have and pushing 296hp.

 

Oh, I think I see the problem. You think this power is not normal? Pretty much everyone makes 300whp with those same mods. Some make as high as 315. You have the basics:

Intake
Boost Control
Exhaust
Tune

Those mods put us right around 300whp almost every time. I made 294whp with those basic mods but using an S-AFC. With better tuning devices, people make even more power, but it's usually right around 300whp.

Yes, I know you're on the stock turbo. I'm only referring to the stock turbo when I respond. Our turbo does die off in the top end, but that's not until 7k rpm. Yours dies off 1k rpm sooner. YOu have a nasty dip in power after 6k, which is abnormal. You should continue climbing after 6k, not fall off the table by 25-30whp.

 

Can you post up your dyno sheet please. and like i said it was tuned on the street.

That's because of the stock intake manifold...not the tune

 

take off the intake, and you'll make the same power

 

That's not an Evo; it's a GVR4. It's also on a much different turbo...

eitherway theres room for improvement and i don't think the mods will stop! right?

I'm just trying to let him know his tune is way off or that something is very wrong above 6k rpm. He needs to get the Power FC professionally tuned, learn how to tune it himself, or get a more common tuning device that will provide him a much better tune.
