Well I cant seem to find a tab to uplaod my picture from my past post. So here is a new thread for it. This was from the thread de-winging da evo.

 

That picture really sucks,, Im using paint shop pro, I saved it as a jpeg, the compression is 80, but the size is too large.

What is the best settings to use for the picture to get uploaded?

 

Resize it with a width of 400, but leave the maintain aspect ratios checked.

 

I like it wingless!

Wow, that picture does suck. Try cropping it more too, there's a lot of wasted space around the car.

 

Yuck. Give me the wing anyday. It looks "bald" without the wing and way too understated.

 

I prefer the wing. An Evo isn't an Evo without the wing.

 

Ok I got a quote for $400 to patch the holes and repaint the trunk.
How much would a replacement trunk be?
Or how much would a carbon fiber trunk be, also can you paint carbon fiber?

Why dont you just get some rubber plugs with a top piece with the color of your car on it?

A safe number would be around 800 bucks. BTW, I don't see any being made for the EVO 8 yet. I check the cwest one for evo 7, frp is ~650, cf is ~800. Costs a bit more, but don't forget the weight saving!

I think I willuse 3-m tape for a while then get the trunk pathced and painted.

Ps , why hasnt anyone mentioned the tint? its 30% 3-m.
Is it because of the ****ty picture , or that your sick to your stomachs at the wingless evo?
