Advans suck in the rain even with full tread left but with 17K miles on them? if you live in the area with lots of rain, go with michelin PS2's
Glad to hear no one got injured!

No chance on getting $$$ for mods unless you disclosed it when you signed up and you have been paying coverage on them.

If theyre totalling it, be sure to take your mods off, all they need is the stock parts.

yeah, you need riders on all the extras to get those covered. had the same problem with my stereo stuff when it got stolen from my blazer a number of years ago. then i learn from the mistake and put riders on all my valuable stuff. ironically i put insurance on my two 3k dollar race bikes (pedal that is). about a month later i got hit by a car. insurance appraser came over, looked at the pile of crushed metal and carbon, and handed me a check for 3800 dollars. if i didn't have the rider they would have only covered to the "Average price of a bike" or about 300 dollars.

i always verify anything of value is covered from then on.

the engine was untouched, if you popped the hood it would be crystal clear but when you look at the passenger side, its all squished in... luckily I was untouched.. besides a little whip lash and the shock that car is totaled now.

I don't know for sure but everyone says it can't be fixed the entire body is bent which is interesting because I didn't feel hitting into a small tree do that to the entire side.

I'm so mad right now I can't believe this happened... I had 17k on my Advans with little thread still left on it and was ready to swap out my winter tires this weekend but its too late now... I guess it couldnt handle the wet roads...

what's next? I don't know.. I don't know what to do at this point, luckily there was a state cop near by and he could see a little of what happened and told me its ok... you got insurance and your ok... just get another one... because I was going 45mph on a road most people go 60... 45 is the speed limit btw..

Thank god you are OK - sorry to hear of this tragic loss

I will provide you a free Dyno Flash for your new evo if you get one

Uh! Just so you know! When you make an insurance claim (which is what GAP is) you dont screw the manufacturer, you screw yourself!

The next time you go to a dealership and buy GAP insurance and it is like $50 -$100 more on the same purchase amount, remember how you screwed yourself!

GAP is provided by a third party insurance company and usually only covers up to $7,500!

Take it from someone who works for Mitsubishi
