Repainted red bumper slightly darker
I had my rear bumper repainted after some one bumped into me. Now its done and the rear looks darker than the rest of my car. My car is a year old. IS that maybe the reason? or a painter goof...its just slightly darker. well the paint age to the rest? or should i take it back?
Take it back.
What happend is more than likely the painter just took the Paint code off your car and painted it the stock factory color assuming there wouldn't be paint fade considering the car is only Xamount of years old. What he didn't realize is it's Mitsubishi stock evo paint which is single stage with no clear coat....any single stage paint fades, only almost all cars now adays are not manufactured with single stage b/c of how ****ty the paint truely is....
Take it back tell them you want them to color match the paint b/c it's not the same color. It is your right. Someone hit you after and accident it is your right to return your car to "pre accident condition" meaning EXACTLY the way it was before you were hit, no used parts, no nothing all the same quality everything. Take it back and let them know you are not satisfied and im sure they will re-paint your bumper, just let them know you do NOT want them to use the mitsu color code, but to color match the paint.
I used to work at an auto body shop, just to let you know I'm not just talking out of my *** here.

whats funny is that the guy that hit it works at the dealership where i took it..he fixed it...so we didnt envolve insurance..but i did get a police report just in case....if they refuse to fix it i am going to claim it on his insurance..
If you look at other cars (ex my GG bumper is a little darker then the rest of my car) it is pretty normal. I mean if it is way off then that is a different story. I have seen my friends yellow evo and his bumper is a different yellow then the rest of the car. It might be the flex chemical that makes the color off a little.
