Good luck.
while this is very true with most dealerships. Your point will be proven if you bring this up, and if they still want to deny your warrenty, just go to a different dealer and save yourself the trouble..

I too am good friends with the service manager at Mitsu, and the head sales manager...if your in good with the important people then you dont have anything to worry about

Wrong. They CAN NOT simply void your warranty. THEY have to prove the modification caused failure to the warrantly part, NOT YOU! Quit spreading around BS like this, it truly effects peoples financial situations.

u definately need a different dealer. ive actually hear of dealers recomending turbo times because they can prolong the life of your turbo. where are u located, im sure somebody around could point you to a shop near by that would take care of you. there are definately extremes when it comes to the stealerships, but there are plenty around that wont give you a hard time over simple mods.

Funny because I bought the TT before I bought the car and I left it at the dealership and told them to install it before I picked up the car.

my friend got denied of free service because he had the aftermarket intake on. It all depends on the dealer. I heard bribing works really good on some dealers. Just get to know them and give them some tips. and they will love you.

what you guys fail to realize is that in order for the dealer to work on your car you have to give them the go ahead.
with that said do as i do!
when you take your car in for service you need to know what they are about to do.
if not ask.
oil changes, almt, point inspection etc is all they do on my car.
when i take it in i tell them what they can do.
if they cross that line they will pay me.
eg. i hid my safc11 under my carpet passenger side after 5k miles. i took it in for service and on returning they asked me what it is and what it does.
i simply told them they had no right to search my car and pull up my personal stuff and they backed up. as i said before i told them what they could do.
they violated my rights and they knew who they were messing with.
that combined with the fact the sales manager had a deal with me before about mods and service (if necessary i had to take all mods off for major repairs).
no problems since.
grow a pair, however be adult about it and show respect and dont bust it everywhere

Guess I'm putting my Vishnu plans on hold...
As an employee of a Mitsubishi dealership all I can tell you guys is to ask Mitsubishi directly about the mods that you are planning on doing!

Just like most of your salespeople, your service advisors probably dont know what you can or can not do. The magical answers can only come from Mitsubishi how will ultimately make the decision regarding your warranty.

Look in your dispute resolution form for an 800# (which you should have a copy of in your EVO books). I am asking my service advisor to look into a number or website for you fellows to get the answers to these important questions.

If you need any special assistance please pm me!

Thanks,

According to my service advisor and parts manager turbo timers are allowed, but you may want to make sure that Mitsubishi accepts the manufacturer for this mod!

Best regards,
