Man, I drive so damn slow on the street. If you don't care about your own safety, at least think about the welfare of others before you decide to do something like that.

You should take high-speed cornering to the track man.

Of course, I have some stuff to say......

1. Your need to read my sig.

RULE 3: Respect the Line

pushing it though a corner is not such a bad thing and not inmature, but it is very inmature to not respect the fact that the road is not yours.

2. ALWAYS MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS BUCKLED UP.

I never start the car in motion until everyone has put their seat belt on. Do you love/like your girl??? Well, just think what COULD OF happen. From now on, don't start any car in motion until everyone has their belt on.

3. EVOs are very safe, despite have a very sh!tty crash rating. My buddy also wreaked his 03 into an orchird at 70-90 MPH, pinballed off a bunch off trees, pass. didn't have a seat belt, totaled the car, Neither of them got a scape.

Since your hella young, get a bike like an R6 or something so car only people on these forums cant flame you for not wearing a seatbelt with an airbag equiped metal cage wrapped around you...you will look back and wonder why you were infatuated with the Evo anyway...all this from a current evo owner who knows a bike rules anyway! No matter what you do to your evo or how much ca$h on any car it will never match the capabilities of a bike adrenaline wise or performance....(except for maybee an 850hp+race car? ?) Your still young so get a cheap bike and see what their all about...it will save you from dropping needless thousands on cars in the future & teach safety at hte same time... .02c L8s

Like others have said, do some driver training. I did my first session a few weeks ago, and found what my car did and did not like. I found out where it begins to lose traction, and what happens when you brake whilst turning. I've only learnt a little, but feel like i know my car that much better now.

The car only reponds to what you throw at it. Sounds like than you need to take driving couses. It will only help you in ways some can't explain. And like others have said, it will let you get to know your car. The street isn't a track, so have respect for others out there. Or you might not get that chance again. On another note, I have had a ton of sportbikes and still own 2. A Honda CBR900RR, and a Honda CBR600RR. Both fast bikes, owning bikes for the last 10 years has made a huge impact on respect for speed in the streets. I advise you try a dose of it. It will sure to wake your *** up....my2cents

Shooter, Id say the TDi is the other end of a broad spectrum (the other extreme).

Admirable that you admit that maybe the Evo was too much car for you. Just the same, dont go crazy! Maybe a WRX, or the new Civic SI (thats a nice car man), An Altima SER, anything. Unless the TDi is really what you'd like. But dont plan on going mod crazy....with that....
