No S4, there is nothing reliable about them unless there brand new and have warrantee. The car your discribing is the car you own. Low cost, fun factor, versitile... EVO and STi need no explanation.

Guess from your statement, Evo is not a right choice for you. Again as some people mentioned, Evo/STi are only for car enthusaists who already know what is best for them.

Convincing you to buy an Evo is like convincing you to give a donation to some people that you don't know.

THE OWL ---Sorry but this is a stupid post... If you need to be convinced to buy an EVO you should not be allowed to buy one... Hell you should not be able to test drive one...

Stick with your WRX because the STI, S4 and the EVO are not cheap to keep running.

JUST my $0.02

get a geo metro, this way you dont have to worry about dumping money into it....no amount of mods in all of god's green goodness can make that car any better...

and just like everyone else said, if you have to be convinced to get an evo, you shouldn't get one.

Does he want this to turn into a "Please, PLEASE PLEASE BUY THE EVO, I WILL DO ANYTHING" or what? If you want information about the car, say that, don't say "convince me" like we're going to gain something if you decide on buying it.

To me the evo looks better, and usually does better in tests (Top Gear, stuff like that, some preformance numbers). It also costs less for a standard IX compared to an STI

WOW what a question.
It's like going to a store and asking a clerk which condom is best for you.
From this it sounds like you don't know much about the evo, otherwise this post wouldn't exist.

evo's are a addiction, once you do one mod you are not gonna stop, it is innevitable...doubt it is right for you if you don't wanna spend cash besides oil changes
