I'm comming back I've just been at the hospital my dad died. Sorry i missed all the damn drama i agree, lock this thread up, I asked a stupid questian and people responded with their opinions and such thanks for all the wonderful advice. I do agree I should make my own choice and not ask for other peoples opinions, maybe I just worded it wrong. I don't think that i will be able to purchase a car in the next couple weeks like i was expecting, i will probably just focus on my kids and family. Once again thank you for all your help.

And that was just the A4 not an S4.
Also I heard the S4's have "some", not a lot of tranny issues caused by some cost cutting action with using plastic parts in the tranny for internal parts. Heard that from a tech that works at one of the Audi dealers in the Cities here. So i find that somewhat credible.
Some? Try most! Man, I launched my first tranny in the s4 (b5) in the first 7500 miles, to the tune of $8000 for replacement (under warranty) and a power steering pump ( $1500 under warranty). The S4 is the last car I would ever buy (well maybe before the POS Passat I had) out of warranty.

If your worried, buy an Evo and KEEP IT STOCK!

In case anybody ever wondered what 4ringturncoat meant that is it...the Audi 4 Union Rings, I have left Audi and will never go back.

Sorry man. That's awful news and I hope you and the rest of your family come through this OK. We can be a bunch of a-holes in here but it's nothing personal. The Evo vs. STi topic has been beaten to death. I know discussing cars probably seems trivial right now, but I spent a lot time looking at both cars before buying the Evo last year so if you have any specific questions shoot me a PM and I'll give you my take.

My sincere condolescences to you and your family. I apologize for being so tough in my response to your question. If and when you need some practical info on eithr sti or evo let me know, as I have both and could probably give you my impressions from my long-term experience.

Its wrong because he got flamed for asking a question that he had all the rights in the world to ask. Sure it may be "stupid" to some but he still had the right to ask it.
